SMP Islam Al Azhar 6 Jakapermai is a leading Islamic junior high school under the auspices of the Wakaf Al Muhajirien Foundation, strategically located in Jakapermai, Bekasi. We provide an education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also emphasizes character development and the strengthening of faith. Islamic values are integrated into students’ daily lives through the practice of worship, Qur’an recitation (tilawah) and memorization (tahfidz), as well as the cultivation of noble character. SMP Islam Al Azhar 6 implements three main curricula: the YPI Al Azhar Curriculum, the National Curriculum, and the Cambridge Curriculum. We are committed to nurturing a generation with strong Islamic character, outstanding academic achievements, and a global perspective, preparing them to become future leaders.

Flagship Tahfidz Program
SMP Islam Al Azhar 6 Jakapermai is strongly committed to shaping an intelligent and noble Quranic generation through its Flagship Tahfidz Program. This program is specially designed to guide students in a structured manner to increase their new memorization (ziyadah) and maintain their existing memorization (muraja'ah). As the pinnacle of spiritual and memorization development, this program regularly features the Tahfidz Camp, dedicated to students in grades 7, 8, and 9. Through intensive memorization quarantine, night prayer routines (Qiyamul Lail), and direct guidance and spiritual motivation from the teachers, the Tahfidz Camp serves as a highly effective medium to solidify their memorization while instilling a deep, lifelong love for the Quran.
AMICA (Al-Muhajirien Initiative for Coding & AI)
In line with rapid global technological developments, SMP Islam Al Azhar 6 Jakapermai presents *AMICA (Al-Muhajirien Initiative for Coding & AI)* to address the challenges of the digital era. This program is specifically designed to empower students by strengthening their comprehensive digital literacy. Through coding lessons and an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), students are equipped with the skills to innovatively and wisely harness technological advancements. AMICA is here to ensure that every graduate is ready to adapt and become a proficient technology pioneer, fully prepared for both the present and the future.
Flagship STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Curriculum
SMP Islam Al Azhar 6 Jakapermai believes that future challenges require a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to learning. Therefore, we present our Flagship STEAM Curriculum. This program focuses on the comprehensive implementation and development of students' abilities across five key areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Through STEAM, students are encouraged not only to understand theories but also to apply their knowledge through project-based learning, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. Friday Literacy Program
Reading is the window to the world. In an effort to foster a love for reading and broaden students' horizons, SMP Islam Al Azhar 6 Jakapermai routinely holds a Literacy Program every Friday. This activity is dedicated to building a positive habit where all students are encouraged to read selected literature before regular teaching and learning activities begin. More than just reading, this program aims to establish a strong literacy culture within the school environment, improve text comprehension skills, train critical thinking, and enrich students' vocabulary. Through consistent practice every Friday, we hope to shape a generation that is eager for knowledge, open-minded, and broadly educated.
